 Iowa International
Raceway Go-Kart Track, Marshalltown, IA
If you ever were curious about
autocrossing, this is an excellent opportunity to give it a try!!! The course
is a paved, nationally recognized Go-Kart track that is 0.6 miles in length and ranges in
width from 26 to 30 feet. Since this is a Solo event, only one car will be allowed on the
track at a time. Participants will be running against the clock, so you can go as fast (or
as slow) as you want. Even if you are not interested in giving it a try, everyone is
encouraged to bring their car as a social outing and be a spectator (the action out on the
track can be pretty fun to watch!!). Pit area is plentiful. Modern restrooms are
available. Remember - spectator admission is free!
Are you an
autocross newbie? Still not sure if you want to
give it a try? Check out our Autocross FAQ's!

OPTIONAL 4-RACE POINT SERIES!!
New this year for those who wish to run competitively
for
end-of-year trophies in a series of various classes.
Cost will be an additional $5 to the normal entry
fee (per person, per event) for those that
want to participate in the points series. If you participate, you will be ranked
(based on
your best time of the day) with other people in your class at each event you
run.
Each ranking equals a number of points, so the better your time, the higher
the number of points you get. We will total the best 3 out of 4 event point totals
for each
individual to award season-end trophies (this allows you to miss an event and still
compete fairly with the other people in your class).
Of course, not everyone is required to run in the
point series, this is just for those that want to
do something a little more competitive than running simply for fun. This is an
extension
of our already popular autocrosses. Those that don't want to run in the point series
can still
participate just like last year and we will still post times for all runs as we have done
in previous years.
