Greetings open track enthusiasts! The Mustang Club of Central Iowa and NQS Performance www.NQSperformance.com would like to invite you to the Mid America Motorplex (MAM) on July 17-18, 2010, for a weekend of high speed driving. We are proud to celebrate this event’s ninth anniversary this year, and we have added some special attractions for your enjoyment. Saturday and Sunday will both be high speed open track days. 20-minute sessions will commence after the drivers meeting. Expect 5-6 sessions per day. Many drivers wish to record lap times to compare from year-to-year, so timing transponders will be available on Saturday if you desire. Times will be posted throughout the day to keep track of your sessions. Sunday will be traditional open track touring without timing. 20-minute sessions will commence after the drivers meeting. Back this year will be Roush Mustang, F-150, Focus and Cougar owners to a reunion of these fine vehicles. A special group photo is planned for the Roush vehicles on Saturday. This year's Honored Marque will be the Fox Body Mustangs, 1979-1993. These Mustangs are, as a whole, responsible for the renewed interest in performance Mustangs we all enjoy today. We will honor them with a group photo on Sunday. MAM’s photographer will also be on hand Saturday, so if you’d like you will be able to purchase a shot of your car at speed to hang on your home or office wall. Please take note of the special early registration pricing. There is a significant savings for registering before the July 1 st deadline, and an even greater savings to attend both days. We have again held firm on our pricing, despite the fact that costs continue to increase. Also please take note of the revised helmet requirements detailed in the General Rules. This may affect some of you with older helmets. The Mid America Motorplex is conveniently located along Interstate 29 at the Glenwood exit, approximately 15 miles south of Interstate 80 near the Omaha/Council Bluffs metro area. The Omaha area has many attractions to offer, including the Henry Doorly Zoo, Rainforest, Aquarium and IMAX theatre, Strategic Air Command Museum, the Omaha Royals baseball team, Bluffs Run greyhound track and casino, Harvey’s Casino, Ameristar Casino, the Old Market shopping and dining district, and many others. Bring the whole family to MCCI@MAM 9 for an enjoyable weekend in the heartland!
