9/19/09 - Autocross #5 @ Eddyville results are now posted on the Past Events Photos (click here) page.  We ended our autocross series at Eddyville for 2009 with another great weather day, and 24 drivers had a lot of fun, with up to nine runs each.  Many drivers posted personal bests on this course, so track conditions were optimal for our season finale.  It's always bittersweet to see the end of our racing season, but we look forward to another great one next year.  Hopefully, more of our members will come try it out and see what they have been missing.

8/30/09 - Autocross #4 @ Eddyville results are now posted on the Past Events Photos (click here) page.  We once again had incredible weather, but only a small turnout for our fourth autocross, which meant that the track was fast and everyone got as many runs as they wanted:  ten in some cases!  Club member David Umphfleet took a whole bunch of pictures at this autocross, so be sure to check them out; there's a link to them on the results page.  Thanks a lot, David!!  Don't miss your chance for a lot of fun at our next, and final, autocross of 2009 on Saturday, September 19th.

8/20/09 - Autocross #3 @ Eddyville results are also now posted on the Past Events Photos (click here) page.  We had beautiful weather and a great turnout for our third autocross, which meant that the track was fast and everyone got as many runs as they wanted:  seven in some cases!  Club member David Umphfleet took pictures at the event, and they are posted, too.  Thanks, David!  Don't miss your chance for a lot of fun at our next autocross on Saturday, August 29th.

6/23/09 - Dyno Day Pics & Videos from June 12th at Mid State Machine are now on the website, Past Events Photos (click here) page.  Thanks again, as usual, to our unofficial Club Photographer, Steve Myers.  Steve does a great job of getting these photos and videos to me so I can get them on the website! 

Autocross #2 @ Eddyville results are also now posted on the Past Events Photos (click here) page.  We had a lower than usual turnout due to rain in the morning, but that just meant that the 21 brave souls that did show up got up to nine runs since, as usual, it cleared off by 10:30 and was nice and dry the rest of the day.

6/17/09 - Car Show Pictures - Pictures from the Club's 30th Annual Car Show are now posted on the Past Events Photos (click here) page.  Many thanks to Steve Myers, Cecil O'Neal/Walgreens, Duane Litogot and Michael Gerlach for taking the time to take the pictures, and then to share them with the Club.  Way to go, Guys!!

5/28/09 - Two New Policies Now Posted On Website:  Two new policies have been added to the website to help clarify what the Mustang Club has been doing in the past and intends to do in the future with regard to sponsors and providing information to Club members.

The MCCI Sponsorship Program (click here for details) shows the cost and benefits of the various Club item and event packages available for sponsorship.  You can find it by clicking on the "Mustang Links"  or "Mustang Club Sponsors" buttons on the left-hand side of any web page.

The MCCI Information Posting/Forwarding Policy (click here for details) outlines the types of information that will be provided to Club members from members, non-members, sponsors and others.  You can access this policy by clicking on the "INFO POSTING POLICY" button on the left-hand side of any web page.

4/30/09 - ON-LINE REGISTRATION FOR MAM8 NOW AVAILABLE:  Just click here and you can register on-line and even use PayPal to get all set up for our 8th annual open track bonanza at the 2.23-mile road course at Mid America Motorplex on July 18 - 19, 2009.  It's quick and easy to sign up and pay!  You can enter all of your personal information, as well as info on your car.  The best part is that once you're signed up, you won't have to re-enter the info in future years or if you go to other track events that use this same registration website.  Check it out!!

4/10/09 - Changes to Upcoming Events for 2009: 

          The Cruise to Ladora that was going to be held on May 9 has been rescheduled for May 31.

             Due to changes in management, there will be no Club event at Greenwood Raceway this year.

2/10/09 - Upcoming Events for 2009 on the Upcoming Events page now include all of the "special cruises" that we plan to do this year.  Take a look and jot down the dates on your calendars now.  Spring is not that far off, and we have a lot of great events planned!  Keep watching this page for additional events, or updated information as we move ahead.

1/6/09 - Upcoming Events for 2009 are now on the Upcoming Events page.  Some events are still tentative, and others are yet to be determined, but many are known, so mark your calendars accordingly.  Spring is not that far off, Thank Goodness!!

9/30/08 - Autocross results from the Club's fourth and last event of 2008 at Eddyville are now posted on the Past Events Photos page.

The results of the Officer elections at the Annual Meeting and Steak Fry last Saturday, September 27, 2008, are also posted on the Current Officers page.

In addition, photos from Grand Am are now posted on the Past Events Photos page.  These were taken by the track photographer when Club members went to Iowa Speedway on August 10, 2008, for the Grand Am Koni Challenge race and met with the Rehagen Race Team, including Jack Roush, Jr., Larry Rehagen and Dean Martin.

8/29/08 - Autocross results from the Club's third event at Eddyville are now posted on the Past Events Photos page, along with two videos from Steve Myers of him traversing the 2.0-mile autocross course at Eddyville, one from in the car and one taken from the Grand Stands.  Thanks again, Steve!  These videos give a great view of the new course, and should give anyone considering coming to our new venue a real positive impression of this track layout.

 8/22/08 - Autocross results from the Club's second event at Eddyville (the first one was rained out) are now posted on the Past Events Photos page, along with a photo link from our unofficial/Official photographer Steve Myers.  Thanks, Steve!  We wouldn't have any pictures on our website without your great work!!  Steve has also just forwarded pictures from several other events this year (Car Show, Dyno Day, MAM7, Indianola Balloon Classic Car Display, Iowa Speedway Grand Am Koni Challenge, and Road America), so check out the Past Events Photos page to see all the great shots Steve has gotten at these events.  There is an especially great series of shots of a Ford GT that wrecked at Road America!

8/23/06 - Autocross results from the club's third event at the Marshalltown gokart track are now posted on the Past Events Photos page, along with a photo link, as usual, from Steve Myers.  Steve got a new camera, and the pictures are really great!!  Thanks a lot for doing this for the club, Steve!  We really appreciate it!!  I also got the autocross results from last  year's MAM event, so they are now on the Past Events Photos, too, if you want to compare your time from this year to last.  (If your time is like mine, you may not want to.  How did I run 2.5 seconds slower this year when the temps were 15 - 20 degrees cooler?????  Oh well, we still had fun.)

7/30/06 - Autocross results from the club's fifth annual high-speed driving event at Mid America Motorplex, MCCI @ MAM5, the 2.23 mile road course at Pacific Junction, IA, are now available on the website by clicking on the Past Events Photos page.  A photo link has also been provided by one of our participants and members, Frank Ross.  Thanks, Frank!  Another of our members, Jim Pierce, took a bunch of great pictures at the event.  I just haven't figured out yet how to get them posted on the website, but hope to have them on soon.  Autocross results from our second event at the Marshalltown gokart track on July 8, along with pictures from Steve Myers are also now available on the  Past Events Photos page.  Thanks, as usual, Steve!  Steve has also provided a link on the same page from the July 1 Dyno Day we had at Mid State Machine.  Thanks again, Steve.  We really appreciate it!!

6/30/06 - The flyer for the club's fifth annual high-speed driving event at Mid America Motorplex, MCCI @ MAM5, the 2.23 mile road course at Pacific Junction, IA, is now available on the website by clicking on the ANNUAL OPEN TRACK EVENT spot on the left margin of the home page or on the hyperlink to the right of the dates for the event on the home page.  Results from the May 7 Autocross, along with pictures (courtesy of Steve Myers:  Thanks, Steve) from the autocross, the April 30 Greenwood Roadway Tour and the June 4 Car Show are now available on the Past Events Photos page.

4/30/06 - The flyer for the 27th annual car show is now available.  You can print it off from the home page or from the Annual Car Show page and send it in with your entry.  Results from all four of last year's autocrosses are now available on the Past Events Photos page, along with some pictures from last year's car show and club Dyno Day event.  A big "Thank You" to Steve Myers for sending these pictures and also the missing autocross results from the August 8 event.  An on-going big "Thank You" too to Chris Hammond for his long service to the club by providing timing coordination at the autocross series for many years.. Thanks a lot, Chris!!  Keep sending pictures of your cars to me to put on the website (unless you're ashamed of them, of course!); .jpg formats only, please; send them to p.berg@mchsi.com and I'll get them on the website as soon as I can.

2/19/06 -  Lots of items have been updated since the last note.  All monthly meeting locations are set on the Upcoming events page.  Dates for the 4 autocross series at Marshalltown are set.  Mustang Club sponsors (and web links where possible) are now just a "click" away on the home page.  Go to the Past Events Photos page to see the 2005 autocross results; no pictures, but if you have any, send them to me and I'll put them on the website.  More members' car pictures have also been added; if you want your car on the website, send me your pictures in .jpg format (p.berg@mchsi.com).  Everything should be up-to-date.  If it isn't, let me know.  Thanks.

11/26/05 - The Upcoming events page has been updated with tentative dates for 2006 monthly meeting dates and special events.  We don't yet have all dates and meeting locations, but we will fill these in as soon as possible.  If you are aware of dates and/or locations, or want to see other events listed here, please contact the Webmaster, Paul Berg, and I'll put them on the website.

12/3/03 - The web page has finally been updated.  The next year's calender of events will be updated as the year goes on.  It is on the Upcoming events page.  Officers have been updated.  We had some issues getting the updates in, so if some links don't work on the new or old stuff please send me a note so we can get them fixed.  Future updates will be posted here.

9/17/02 - The web page will be updated shortly with results from this year's Autocross Series, and pictures from our MCCI@MAM open track event.  Stay tuned for details.

7/21/02 - Past Events Photos  page has been updated with pictures from the 7/13/02 Show & Shine at Dewey Ford.   After, a few cars then headed over to the Sonic in Altoona for dinner and then cruised to Newton to enjoy a double feature at the Drive-Inn, no cartoons this time.  Thanks to Dave & Kathy Bowers, John & Barb Leise, and Chris Vlahakis for attending.

3/16/02 - 23rd Annual Car show and Swap Meet flyer is now available.  This years event will be held on June 2nd at the new Dewey Ford dealership in Ankeny.  More information is available on the Annual Car Show page.

2/10/02 - We  have now updated the upcoming events page and a few other pages to reflect the current scheduled meetings and special events.  We are excited to present the first annual Mustang Club of Central Iowa's Open Track event on August 10th and 11th sponsored by the Mustang Club of America.  Registration information and more details will be coming in the near future. 

1/5/02 - I just wanted to take this opportunity to say thank you for everyone's support & words of encouragement over the last three years.  This is the last update I will be doing as MCCI webmaster as I will be stepping down from my webmaster and treasurer duties at the January 20th meeting.  I have really enjoyed serving as webmaster for the club from the web site's creation three years ago to now.  Unfortunately, keeping the site up-to-date has been taking more time than I have to devote to it and I have other projects that are demanding my attention (i.e. www.mustanggt.org).  Thanks again!  Kathy Bowers
