Typically, a large group of MCCI members make the trek up to the annual Northwoods Shelby American Automobile Club's Open Track Event at Road America each year.   The event was held September 7-9, 2001 event in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin - a bunch of club members took their cars to run on the track and a few others went along to spectate.  Fortunately, the troubles experienced by a couple club members last year did not return this year and everyone had a great time (well, except for the VERY rainy Sunday).
